Michael Schiavo R.I.P.

Michael John Schiavo RIP
It is with profound heartfelt sadness and grief that the Manchester Italian Association offers its sincere and deepest condolences and prayers to the family of the late Michael Schiavo who tragically died on December 14th 2016. Michael was the second child of Vincent and Angeline Schiavo and brother of Gerard and Dominic and the devoted and loving father to his baby son Reuben.
Michael along with his Mam, Dad and brothers annually walked in the Italian procession and from his early days of taking part in the procession, being pushed in his pram to him eventually carrying St Anthony and the Calvary over many years.

Michael was a keen and talented footballer and was part of the original MIA ‘Little Italy’ football team from its inception in late 1990’s. This team brought together children and young people whom ordinarily would not have met but were able to bond and grow together, embracing their culture and heritage and love of all things Italian especially football. Those indelible ties that were formed then will never be broken and all whom knew and loved Michael feel the deep loss today as they would a beloved brother and cousin.

We pray for Michael and his heartbroken family and friends and ask all our followers and friends to remember him, his family and his little son Reuben at this very difficult time in your prayers and thoughts.
